Former Guild member Vernon Green has passed away following a short illness.

Vernon was a prominent member of the St Martin’s Guild in the 1970s. He and his family came to Solihull in 1973 and he quickly became the Deputy Tower Master to Tom Warner then became Tower Master himself 1976–1980 before the family moved away to Bedfordshire. He was both Treasurer and Secretary to the St Martin’s Guild between 1974 and 1977 returning in 1984 to chair the Henry Johnson Dinner.
